You didn’t get the email.
So you clicked “Resend.”
Then again.
And maybe tried signing up one more time.
Now nothing works.
This Isn’t a Broken System
Most platforms limit how many verification requests can be made within a short window.
If you:
- Request multiple verification emails
- Create duplicate accounts quickly
- Switch devices during signup
The system may trigger an anti-abuse threshold.
When that happens, new verification attempts are silently blocked.
Why It Happens
Verification endpoints are protected.
High-frequency requests look similar to:
- Bot behavior
- Spam signups
- Credential stuffing tests
Even if you’re just trying to fix a mistake, the system can’t tell.
What Actually Fixes It
- Stop requesting new emails
- Wait 30–60 minutes
- Use the original signup email only
- Retry once after cooldown
Repeated retries extend the temporary block.
If verification suddenly stops after multiple attempts,
it’s not a permanent ban.
You likely hit a temporary rate limit.
