You didn’t type a password.
You clicked “Continue with Google.”
Account created instantly.
So why is the platform still asking for email verification?
Social Login Doesn’t Always Equal Full Verification
When you sign up using Google, Apple, or Facebook, the platform receives identity data — but not always full verification status.
Some systems treat social login as:
- Identity confirmation only
- Not email ownership confirmation
- Not marketing-consent confirmation
That’s why features stay locked.
What’s Actually Happening Behind the Scenes
There are two different checks happening:
- Authentication (Are you a real user?)
- Email validation (Is this email fully verified inside this system?)
Social login passes the first check.
It may skip the second.
Especially common after:
- Switching from password login to Google login
- Using Apple “Hide My Email”
- Merging accounts
Quick Fix
- Go to Account → Email Settings
- Check if “Verification Pending” appears
- Manually trigger verification email
- Log out and log back in after confirmation
Once the system syncs both identity and email validation, the locked feature usually opens.
This isn’t a payment issue.
This isn’t a subscription failure.
It’s an account creation pathway mismatch.
