You’re in.
Dashboard loads. Profile visible. Notifications working.
But one menu refuses to open.
Click. Nothing.
Or worse — “Access restricted.”
Login Access Is Not Feature Access
Logging in only confirms identity.
It does not confirm full feature authorization.
Most platforms operate on layered permissions:
- Account authentication layer
- Subscription entitlement layer
- Role-based access control (RBAC)
- Region or compliance filters
If one layer fails to validate, specific features stay locked — even though your account appears normal.
Most Common Causes
- Subscription tier mismatch after plan change
- Role downgrade in team or enterprise accounts
- License sync delay after payment update
- Region-based feature limitation
- App version not synced with server permissions
This is not a login error.
It’s a permission evaluation issue.
Quick Diagnostic Check
- Does the feature open on web but not in the app?
- Was your plan recently upgraded or downgraded?
- Are you part of a shared or managed account?
- Did billing just renew within the last 24 hours?
If yes to any of these, the restriction is likely temporary or role-based.
What Usually Fixes It
- Log out and refresh token session
- Re-sync subscription under account settings
- Update the app to latest version
- Confirm role permissions with account owner
If the menu stays locked across devices,
the entitlement layer has not validated your access.
Your login works.
Your feature license does not.
