You open the workspace.
Your account still logs in normally.
Your profile still exists.
But the workspace you used before is gone.
This often happens after a license seat removed from workspace event inside a team subscription.
What Happens When License Seats Are Reduced
Many team subscriptions work with a fixed number of license seats.
For example, a workspace may pay for 10 users.
If that number is reduced to 8, two members must automatically lose their seats.
The platform removes access from selected accounts to match the new limit.
Why Some Users Are Removed Automatically
Most systems choose accounts automatically.
They may remove:
- inactive users
- recently added members
- users without admin roles
The removal usually happens instantly when the seat count changes.
Why Your Login Still Works
Your personal account still exists on the platform.
The license seat, however, belonged to the team subscription.
Once that seat disappears, your access to the workspace disappears with it.
What You Should Check
- Did the workspace reduce its license seats?
- Did the organization downgrade the subscription plan?
- Were some members recently removed from the team?
If any of these happened, the system may have reassigned the available seats.
If your workspace access suddenly disappeared,
the team may have reduced its license seats and your account lost the assigned seat.
