IP Ban Removed — But You Still Can’t Connect

You submitted a request to remove an IP restriction.

You received confirmation that the block was lifted.

Yet your connection attempt still fails.

IP-based restrictions operate at the network layer, not the account layer.

Even after a specific IP address is unblocked, other network-related controls may still apply.

Many platforms evaluate:

IP reputation databases
Autonomous system (ASN) risk profiles
Geo-location filters
Proxy or VPN detection rules

If your connection environment matches any of these additional criteria, access may remain denied.

Another overlooked issue is dynamic IP reassignment.

If your internet provider rotates addresses frequently, the previously unblocked IP may no longer be the one currently assigned to your device.

In that case, the new address could still fall under an active restriction category.

Firewall propagation delays can also contribute.

Network-level rule updates may require time to replicate across distributed edge nodes and traffic filtering systems.

During this window, access attempts can still be rejected despite the administrative removal of the ban.

If your IP ban was reportedly removed but access is still blocked, verify:

Whether your current IP address and network profile match the one that was cleared — and whether broader network-level restrictions remain active.

Because lifting a single IP entry does not always neutralize related network risk controls.
