Your account works.
You can stream. You can browse.
But the Download button is missing — or disabled.
This is not a login problem.
It’s a permission layer issue.
Downloads Are Controlled Separately
Many platforms treat downloading as a separate license right.
Streaming access and offline storage are not always bundled together.
- Regional download restrictions
- Device-level limitations
- Plan tier differences
- App version compatibility rules
You may have viewing rights — but not offline rights.
Why Download Access Gets Disabled
The most common triggers:
- Exceeded device download limits
- Expired stored license tokens
- Switching countries recently
- Plan downgraded but streaming still active
In many cases, the platform does not notify you directly.
The button simply disappears.
Quick Diagnosis Checklist
- Check how many devices are registered
- Update the app to the latest version
- Log out and re-authenticate
- Confirm your current subscription tier includes downloads
If streaming works but downloads don’t,
your account is not suspended.
The download license is what’s restricted.
