  • Check email receipts around the charge date

  • Look for small recurring charges linked to older services

When to Be Cautious

  • If the amount repeats without explanation
  • If the merchant cannot be found at all
  • If the charge does not match any account you own

An unfamiliar charge is not automatically fraud.
