Here’s the truth first:
When a platform marks your report as resolved, it does not automatically restore your access.
Those two actions are often unrelated.
Most users assume something simple.
If the review is finished, the restriction should disappear.
That assumption feels logical.
But on many platforms, the review system and the enforcement system operate separately.
Closing a case means the investigation workflow is complete.
It does not necessarily mean the restriction flag was removed.
Think of it this way:
A report is a ticket.
A restriction is a status flag.
The ticket can close.
The flag can remain.
This usually happens when:
The review concluded without overturning the enforcement.
The system requires a secondary clearance step.
The enforcement layer updates on a delay cycle.
In these situations, nothing is “wrong.”
The systems are simply not synchronized in the way users expect.
If your case shows resolved but your features are still disabled, the correct question is not:
“Why is my case still open?”
It is:
“Has the restriction flag been cleared from my account status?”
That distinction matters.
