You requested the code.
You’re staring at your phone.
Nothing.
No text. No email. No notification.
And now the login screen just waits.
This Isn’t Always a System Failure
When a verification code doesn’t arrive, most people assume the service is broken.
In reality, delivery failures usually fall into one of three buckets:
- Carrier delay or filtering
- Number/email formatting mismatch
- Temporary send limits
Check the Simple Things First
- Is your phone in airplane mode?
- Did you recently change SIM cards?
- Is the country code correct (+1, +44, etc.)?
- Is your inbox filtering unknown senders?
Small mismatches cause silent failures.
Carrier Filtering Is More Common Than You Think
U.S. carriers especially filter high-volume automated messages.
If multiple codes were requested quickly, the system may pause further sends.
Waiting 5–10 minutes before requesting another code often works.
When to Try a Different Method
- Switch from SMS to email (if available)
- Use an authenticator app instead of text
- Try from a stable Wi-Fi connection
If no method works, the issue may be tied to your number record on the account.
If your verification code isn’t arriving,
the problem is usually delivery filtering — not permanent account restriction.
