You’re waiting for the verification email.
Nothing arrives.
Or worse — it arrives, you click it… and nothing changes.
Before assuming the system is broken, check this:
Are you verifying the same email you used to sign up?
This Happens More Than You Think
Many users accidentally:
- Sign up with Gmail
- Try to log in later with Apple ID
- Request verification to a secondary email
The platform treats each email as a separate identity.
Verification only activates the original account.
How to Confirm the Mismatch
- Check the exact email shown in your account settings
- Compare it with the inbox receiving the verification email
- Look for small differences (dot variations, +alias, typo)
If they don’t match perfectly, you’re verifying the wrong profile.
Why the System Doesn’t Warn You
For security reasons, platforms don’t disclose whether another account exists under a similar email.
So it looks like verification failed.
But technically — it worked.
Just not for the account you’re trying to use.
If your verification email arrives but nothing activates,
don’t resend it five times.
Log out. Re-check the original signup email. Start there.
