You’re subscribed.
Your plan is active.
Most premium features work.
But one category, one course, one series —
is still locked.
This is not a full entitlement failure.
It’s a scoped restriction.
Premium Plan Doesn’t Always Mean “All” Premium
Many platforms divide premium access into layers:
- Core premium features
- Add-on content packs
- Region-specific premium libraries
- Partner-licensed exclusives
Your subscription may cover the base tier —
but not every premium subset.
Common Reasons Only Some Content Is Locked
- Content tier mismatch: Item belongs to a higher premium tier.
- Regional licensing: Available in your plan, not in your country.
- Account type limitation: Student, family, or team plan restriction.
- Beta or experimental feature flag: Rolled out selectively.
- Legacy plan structure: Older subscription missing new content bundle.
If everything were locked, it would be a billing issue.
If only specific content is locked, it’s structural.
Quick Self-Diagnosis
- Does the locked content mention “Plus” or “Pro” badge?
- Is it marked as an add-on or expansion pack?
- Does it open when accessed from a different country?
- Are other users on the same plan seeing the same lock?
These checks separate entitlement failure from content classification.
If your subscription works everywhere except specific titles,
your payment didn’t fail.
The content belongs to a different premium scope.
