The charge went through.
Your bank says “Approved.”
But your account?
Still basic. Still locked. Still asking you to upgrade.
This is where most people panic.
Approval Does NOT Mean Activation
A card approval only confirms one thing:
The bank authorized the transaction.
It does not confirm:
- Payment settlement completed
- The platform received the funds
- Your account permissions updated
Authorization and activation are two separate systems.
Why The Upgrade Didn’t Trigger
In most cases, one of these happened:
- Payment is still in processing (can take several hours)
- Webhook or payment confirmation failed temporarily
- You’re logged into a different account
- App and web versions are not synced yet
It feels like you paid and got nothing.
Technically, the system hasn’t finished the second half.
Quick Reality Check
Before contacting support, verify:
- Is the charge marked “Pending” or “Posted”?
- Did you receive an official receipt email?
- Are you signed into the correct email account?
If it’s pending, wait.
If it’s posted but no receipt exists, something failed in transmission.
When It’s Actually a System Delay
Most activation delays resolve within:
- 15 minutes for direct card payments
- Up to 24 hours for some banks
- Longer during weekends or billing rollovers
If access doesn’t update after 24 hours, then it’s worth escalating.
Your card approved the payment.
The platform hasn’t finished approving your access.
Give it a short window.
If nothing changes after that — then it’s time to push support.
